I love, love, love my new Stage 2 Dual Pen woodburning detail iron. Was shipped quickly to my PO Box. It has been super easy to use. The nibs are easy to change out of the collets, basically the same as changing a bit out of a dremel or drill. Keeps the heat and has nibs that are great for detail work. Haven't had the dual pen set long enough to say how well it holds up but so far, SO AMAZING!!!! ;)

Hello. I have the stage 2 dual pen
60w unit. I use the scale/ horseshoe flattened tip a lot. I need more but do not see how to purchase this flattened tip. Can they be bought individual? A would buy a good quantity. I also need two new handpieces as backup. I see those as accessories. I do not need the whole set of tips to just get the one I need. Advise please. Jan Niland.

I absolutely love my TruArt duel burner. I’ve had it since 2021 and still going strong. I love how the pens never get hot like most other burners.
I do wish they’d come out with a big line of specialty wire tips. Especially for fine line work or lettering. I make a lot of signs and this would help me so much. I’d rather spend my money with TruArt than spend it elsewhere.
Also the pen holders are top notch. I love haas two other burners and they have the lightweight plastic holders which will melt if you don’t get the pens in correctly. Been there done that. Customer service is awesome. Always so helpful. I couldn’t ask for more. Pavel is great. Thank you for making Woodburning so enjoyable

I don’t usually take the time to write reviews but I found it necessary for this.

I’d been thinking about adding wood-burning to my list of hobbies for a few months and struggled to find reliable products and resources. A few weeks ago I was watching a showcase video of the TruArt kits so I checked out other reviews, pictures, videos, and quickly decided that I’d go with this one.

I am super happy. It arrived quickly (did not pay for priority shipping or anything) and I tested it right away. It’s straightforward and easy to use, works great, and is super comfortable to work with. Aside from the product itself, TruArt provides great video walkthroughs and such and the customer service was excellent. The only things to watch out for are:

1) the brass tips are quite malleable when heated at the higher setting [mine was a tiiiny bit crooked by the time I finished my project], but that’s to be expected and not the manufacturer’s fault, plus they do an excellent job at warning you and giving you tips to prevent it with little notes inside of the kit. I just applied a little too much pressure at one point, which it does explicitly advise against doing
And 2) after using the wand for a prolonged period of time, the plastic between the metal piece and rubber grip gets pretty warm. It doesn’t bother me as I’m used to heat on my hands and not very prone to burns - plus I’m not sure if it gets hot enough to burn - though I’d recommend using a thin pair of gloves if you plan on taking on something more time-consuming! Again though, I don’t think that’s a fault on the manufacturer’s part, just a note to other potential buyers for the sake of convenience :)

I 100% recommend this if you’re looking to get into wood-burning!
